Social Media Management

Engagement, proper platform usage, and monitoring for efficient feedback.

Content creation

Creating the right type of content on social media has the potential to make or break your business. Social media is the number one way for businesses to connect with their customers, so leveraging social media can turn any brand into a household name, when the content creation is done properly. But it isn’t enough to just jump on every social media site and post content once in a while when you have the time.

To fully leverage the power of social media for your brand, you need to set up a proper social media content strategy so that you can research your audience, find out what appeals to them most, and get your brand voice out there–and keep it out there.

Create content that is engaging, that your audience will want to share with their own followers. Ask questions, so that they’ll interact with your content. Build relationships with other brands, bloggers, or content creators within your niche so that you can share one another’s content and reach wider audiences. These are just some of the things that we can do for you at Corduroy Marketing.

Ideation

For businesses, content ideation is the process of creating or sourcing concepts for future social media posts related to your brand. This content should be relevant to your business and audience in order to fit within your social media content strategy.

Some ways in which you can start to work on your content ideation include:

  • Identifying gaps in your content
  • Addressing pain points that your product or service helps to fix
  • Connect with other departments in your company for fresh ideas
  • Pay attention to what your competitors are doing
  • Follow trends
  • Having brainstorming sessions with your team

Moderation

If you’re going to be leveraging social media to spread brand awareness and grow your audience, it’s very important that you engage in social media moderation across all platforms on which your brand posts.

The reason for this is that user-generated content on a company’s social media pages frequently warrants some form of action, whether that’s engaging with the UGC (user-generated content) – like replying or reacting to it – reporting the content to the social media site itself, or removing it entirely.

Engaging with UGC is a great way to build your audience and brand voice. Look at the fast-food restaurant Wendy’s, for example. They often engage with their audience, and with other brands, which spreads brand awareness for them, and garners them a larger fanbase.

Scheduling

Do you know when the best time is to post on different social media platforms? Yes, there are times that have been proven to work better and worse for each different platform out there. So it’s incredibly important to learn these analytics before jumping right into posting on your business’s social media pages.

Scheduling your content allows you to reach your target audience when they’re most likely to be online, even if you’re not. Scheduling weeks or a month in advance allows you to, basically, set it and forget it until it’s published. This is a great tool for busy companies that don’t have time each day to jump on every social media platform and create content. It’s also great for times when you’re simply unable to get online, like if you’re sick, for example.

It also allows you to keep your accounts active, which helps to keep your audience engaged. If they navigate to your page and see that you haven’t posted anything in a while, they’ll likely lose interest. So if you’re planning to use social media as a tool to spread brand awareness, setting up content scheduling is definitely in your best interest.
